Claudette Paul from Winnipeg, Manitoba is looking to get the Canadian Government to start an Animal Abuse Registry like New York, California and some other states are adopting.
We would love to see this become a reality as it would be a true benefit to Ugly Mutts and anyone in need of this information.
Claudette’s goal:
I know our government is set up a bit different than the US, but I would like to bring this matter to the forefront. My goal is to attain 5,000 signatures and send it to our Prime Minister to get him to realize the demand and urgency of this. Animal abuse and the justice system in Canada are not taken seriously enough. Abusers get slapped with a fine, move and then go back out and adopt other animals through agencies and puppy mills! It’s a vicious cycle that needs to stop.
