Pride Rescue Fundraiser & Bake Sale

Published On Wednesday, November 24, 2010 By admin. Under: Mutthouse News.

All welcome this Saturday November 27th from 9 am to 6 pm at Pet Valu located at 1 Wilson Street in downtown Hamilton (at the corner of Wilson & James) for a day of fun, games, prizes and more to help raise funds to help the stray, abandoned and otherwise forgotten cats helped by The Pride Rescue.

The day will include fun games, a small penny and bake sale, exciting raffles, prizes and cookies, cupcakes, coffee and pop will be made available to our supporters!

Raffle prizes include an incredible prize for those dog lovers out there – a beautiful large crate with tray, dog bed, canned & dry dog food, toys & treats, valued at over $200 is available to a lucky winner – ballots cost just $2 and can be purchased any time at the store up until the drawing is held on November 27th.

Baked goods, baked with love by Pride Rescue volunteers will be available for sale at a small bake sale table, and you’re promised some incredible delights! Make a difference in a truly delicious way and help us save lives!

We will have home made catnip mice and other cats toys, made by caring Pride Rescue volunteers, available for sale to help raise funds toward the vetting care of the cats in our program.

Pride Rescue volunteers will be on hand and will be passing out pamphlets and flyers promoting responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering as well as sharing information on how to humanely care for and manage stray and feral cats in the community and providing information on feral cat care programs available to help spay/neuter these animals to help stop over-population. Lots of information will be available, and we’ll be happy to share any pointers we have to help you make a difference, in your own backyard. We’ll be canvassing for new foster homes and volunteers, and look forward to meeting anyone willing to help, as well as to seeing the friendly faces of our long-time friends & supporters!

Throughout the day, we will have kittens & cats in the store for meet and greets with the public – if you’re thinking of adopting, this would be an excellent opportunity for you to meet with some of our cats & kittens who are purring in anticipation of being able to show off their bright, happy & affectionate natures! Some of our cuties featured at this event will include the adorable brothers Wyatt & Virgil, who are looking for a home as pair – these little boys are just too cute to resist and we just dare you to meet them and walk away from their adorable little faces! We’ll have other kittens & cats featured through the day, and the kitties will only remain at the store as long as they’re comfortable (we don’t want anyone to feel stressed by all the activity and attention!) however we’re planning to feature several feline guests through the day! We’ll have adoption applications on hand that can be filled out & submitted in store, however no adoption will take place at this event – approved applicants will be contacted after applications are processed and will be invited to adopt their new forever friend at their foster home to handle the adoption.

Donations will most gratefully be accepted at this event – supplies such as canned cat and kitten food, dry cat and kitten food, clumping cat litter, toys, treats, bedding, and cleaning products such as bleach, paper towels and antibacterial soap are items we use on a daily basis and would be very much appreciated!

We are looking forward to seeing each and every one of you at this event is support of our cuddly cuties!

Thank you for your continued support!
