All of us here at Ugly Mutts Dog Rescue and the Mutts themselves would like to say “thank you” to all the wonderful, caring people that have helped us over the years by way of making cash donations, donating food, crates, towels, toys, Canadian Tire money, helping on transports, and in all ways supported us and the work that we do. It is their generous spirit that supports us and that we continue to draw strength and encouragement from. They are the people that continue to fill in the gaps left by the need for day to day maintenance, training and rehabilitation of the dogs, the high medical costs, and the general operating costs needed to maintain the rescue.
Some people donate anonymously by dropping off much needed items with foster parents and/or at one of our supporting retail stores – we would like to thank all of you for your caring.
To those of you that make extra donations on top of your adoption fee and/or donate their spay/neuter refund back to the Rescue – we so appreciate your generosity.
Thanks goes out to Tom of Copy Dog who gives of his time and talents to print our flyers and bumper stickers!
A special thanks to Laura of the Zine for her continued support over the years of much needed items and for helping get our flyers out to the public.
Thank you to Pet Valu both the Wilson Street and Queenston Road locations for their donations of food, toys and treats – they have been much appreciated.
Thank you to The Bone House for collecting much needed dog items from their patrons – we appreciate your continued support.
Thank you to Oliver and Pets in Burlington for their collection of dog items – we appreciate your continued support also.
Thank you to Kendall and Morgan for being on hand to take the wonderful pictures of the dogs which has greatly helped in bringing potential adopters.
Thanks to Michelle of Shadowbrook Kennels for helping us with overflow dogs by caring for them until a foster home is available – you have been a godsend at times!
And many, many thanks to our foster families and volunteers who make it all possible – you know we couldn’t do it without you!!!
Thank You to Nutrience – “Proud Supporter of Ugly Mutts Dog Rescue”
All smiles from Ugly Mutts Associates with the huge food donation from Nutrience
Ugly Mutts Associates and volunteers were all smiles as they pick up their $5,000 worth of food from the Hagen warehouse in Mississauga. Early this year Nutrience held a promotion on facebook with Ugly Mutts and another rescue splitting $10,000 in dog food once Nutrience’s facebook reached 10,ooo fans. Many of Ugly Mutts fans reached out to family, co-workers and friends to “like” the Nutrience site which raised the numbers on both Nutrience’s and Ugly Mutts facebook page. ”I don’t believe we would have reached the goal so quickly if not for the wonderful participation of our fans.” said Karlene, Rescue Director for Ugly Mutts “We were elated and so appreciative of their efforts and I am always amazed that when the chips are down, the people are always there to help the animals in need.”

Thank You to Canadian Tire & Iams “Home for the Holidays”
Ugly Mutts Associates have always been too busy with the business of saving lives to find much time for dog shows, promotion events or fundraisers. When Ugly Mutts was invited to be featured in the Canadian Tire store in our community however, we realized that was a great opportunity to get out and make ourselves known to the community. As volunteers with full time jobs, families and pets of their own to care for, along with their respective duties with Ugly Mutts, and the fact they were given little notice, the Rescue Associates managed once again to pull together and do a fantastic job.

Thank you Chris White and family – Chris and his wife adopted Webber aka Elvis Jr awhile back and stopped by today to let us know that he is doing great and to drop off some much needed items from our wish list. We were very happy to hear the news and it sounds like Webber is having the time of his life with all his extended family. Thanks Chris for thinking of us and helping make a few other dogs happy as well!

Thank you to Anna and Jeff who adopted Noosa (formerly Sunny 4LC ID#007-0401) back in 2007. She was a lovely dog that had come to us as a stray from here in Hamilton. When the new baby came along she accepted the baby as part of the pack with no problems. Noosa recently passed away. She was well loved by her family and will be missed. Anna kindly donated all of the left over pet items she had for Noosa which will now go to help another needy pet.

George and Denise Petrovic have been invaluable as committed volunteers, foster parents and now as adoptive parents to Kramer, one of Ugly Mutts rescued fur-buddies.
As well as being true Ugly Mutters with the time and service they donate, Denise and George have now donated to our medical fund to help pay for the much needed costs of other needy pets.
Thank you George and Denise!
